The Year That Was TwentyTen

With the end of the year approaching, I thought it would be fitting to give a brief run-down on my year, which has been a real experience...

Jan - Still in Melbourne until the 10th, then made the move back home. Unemployed but was doing odd jobs around the house.

Feb - TAFE started and I met my future wife (she doesn't know this yet). Still unemployed, but looking for local work

Mar - Mostly consisted of me being cool and looking for work. Had a couple interviews but nothing concrete.

April - Was quite a big month. Had a interview at Wodonga Safeway which looked very promising. had my brothers wedding in Sydney and it was my birthday.

May - Finally got a job!! Woo! Was also crashing at a friends place on their couch when needed.

Jun - Wrecked a friendship which was hard on me.

Jul - The greatest, bestest blog everest started. The beard was shaved. Things were tough overall, couch hopping.Had my second birthday for the year, boy I'm getting old fast. Slept in my car for the first time.

Aug - Watched Billy Maddison and proceeded to write a status update for all the great quotes. Started house hunting, couch hopping and sleeping in the car was still the 'in' thing.

Sep - The 'Oh No' era began. Still looking for a house and has a encounter with the police about being in my car at 1am.Start my job at the cinema, so now working two jobs.

Oct - Continued sleeping in my car, and travelling between work and home some days. Was taken off the roster at the cinema, so considered 'fired'. It had been 7 years since mum passed away, still not easy.Finally moved into a house, although they were considered complete strangers at the time, fast becoming friends.

Nov - Experienced my third birthday for the year, held my little niece and claimed "Favourite Uncle" TAFE finished up for the year, and I rocked the month with a exceptional mo!

Dec - It appeared to be the month I lost my job and got my phone cut off. But enjoyed a good Christmas. Looking very forward to ending this year but, and starting fresh in 2011.


So that was basically twentyten, I now hope 2011 will be much kinder to me. Looking back, it seems I had 2-3 months of bad, 2-3 months of good, 2-3 months of bad, etc etc.

This was the year where I was jobless again, the year I was sleeping out of my car, the year my facebook was hacked on a regular basis, but damn it, this year will make for a excellent chapter in my book.
